Welcome to year 5 of the Huckleberry Hill School 100 Mile Club!

The 100 Mile Club presents our members with a straightforward challenge: run, jog or walk 100 miles over the course of the school year.

This Lynnfield Community Schools program is coordinated by Program Leaders Ms. Lisa Prach and Ms. Jennifer Doyle, with the help of Ms. Stacey D'Onofrio and Ms. Hamm as program aides.

Walking and running are great forms of exercise and they’re easy—you can fit them in whenever and wherever it works! Not only that, being physically fit can help you in school, and it’s a fun way to spend time with friends or even make some new ones.

The research is clear...Active kids simply do better...better in the classroom, better attendance, better health and fitness! The goal of our 100 mile club is to improve the health and well-being of our students in a fun, non-competitive, supportive and fully-inclusive environment.

Developed with John Wooden's Pyramid of Success in mind, the 100 Mile Club reinforces the following 5 messages:

  • Make each day your masterpiece.

  • Be true to yourself.

  • No whining.

  • No complaining.

  • No excuses.

100 Mile Club is: Industriousness, Friendship, Loyalty, Cooperation, Enthusiasm, Initiative, Self-Control, Alertness, Intentness, Conditioning,  Skill, Team-Spirit, Poise, and Confidence.
